Verification desk
Incoming reports are organized and verified here before they headline the front page. Nothing unverified headlines — ever. For each report: check what the reporter actually saw, the location, and any media; then verify it at the right tier, ask for changes, or reject it. Every decision is stamped with the reporter's byline and beat.

Stories waiting for a write-up
Live coverage and filed reports, clustered into stories. A write-up drafts an article from the story's sources only — the desk's fact check runs before you ever see the draft, and nothing headlines until you approve it.

Sponsorships
Inquiries land here; booking names the amount, who sold it, and the reporter it belongs to. Safety sections (weather, fire, police) carry no sold slot, and one sponsor per section is the rule — the desk route refuses both.
Licensing sales
The newsroom runs the sale after the reporter's approval: delivered → invoiced → collected. The buyer's contact shows here only — never in the reporter's payload.
